Watch a video of Reginald teaching how to greet others in Latin. The plays of Plautus provide numerous greetings.
Read along in the book, Os praesens Ciceronis epistularis: The immediate mouth of Cicero in his letters, page 144, under the heading:
SALVTATIONES CONGREDIENTIVM LATINAE
Latin greetings of ones gathering.
Reginald refused to allow his teaching to be recorded, because it would change the classroom experience; students must be free to make their mistakes so they can learn and be encouraged.
This remains one of the few recordings available. Our gratitude is due to Jessica Harvey for posting this video on YouTube.
